NODA North West Awards Archive

There is a long tradition within the North West region for the annual conference and AGM event to have an awards ceremony. For a number of years now we have held two events: one for youth societies and one for adults. Awards are nominated by the ten Regional Representatives. There is also a North West Regional Councillor's Award, which is awarded at the discretion of the Regional Councillor. NODA North West District Awards

NODA North West is the only region nationally to hold district level award events. Not all of our districts have these: the Regional Respresenative decides whether to have one based on the needs and wants of the membership in that area, and as long as the Rep has time to organise the event, as it's their time that goes into making this happen. The events usually consist of a gala dinner with an awards ceremony, followed by an after party. The North West All-District Drama Award

The North West All-District Drama Award 2023 saw the launch of our All-Districts Drama Award – an opportunity to celebrate the wealth of talent shown in the many and varied plays performed in the North West region. The award is open to all plays performed in the North West. Like the Drama Festival before it, all plays will be reviewed by the same adjudicator who will attend your performance in your venue, then write a comprehensive review including both praise and points for improvement. North West Summer School Bursaries

The North West Region gets allocated a certian amount of bursaries per year to help towards to costs of the NODA Thetare Summer School. Priority is usually given to students attending for the first time and to those students under 30 year old. Currently the bursary is worth 50% against a full course. Applicants for a Bursary must apply for a place at NODA Theatre Summer School and pay their deposit. Should they be unsuccessful in getting a Bursary and therefore cannot attend, their deposit will be refunded. This is the only situation under which deposits may be refunded. It...
