The Border Studio Trophy will be presented on an annual basis to a club that has shown technical excellence in their production. Each regional representative will be able to nominate 1 production from their district. These nominations will then be judged by 2 members of the NODA Scotland committee and the NODA Scotland Councillor with the winner being announced at our annual conference at Peebles Hydro in October. Some or all of the following criteria will be taken into consideration when an entry is being judged: Innovative stage sets Creative lighting Good and accurate costuming Use of audio visual equipment...

This trophy is presented to the group performing the midnight cabaret at our annual Peebles weekend. As the name suggests it is to recognise having the courage to perform in front of an audience made up of fellow performers. NODA’s Programme and Poster Competition is without doubt one of the major competitions for amateur theatre in the UK. Its purpose is to encourage the highest standards in programme and poster design. Each region holds its own competition using the criteria set out by the Council (details of which can be found on the NODA national website), with the winning entries then entered into the national competition. At the NODA National Conference on 30th September 1978 in Cardiff the membership had refused to agree to the dissolution of the Association as proposed by Council.
