The March edition includes reviews on shows which had performances in November, December, January and February; the July edition covers shows performed in March, April, May and June; and reviews of these shows appear in the July edition. NODA Scotland run various training courses during the year. The Border Studio Trophy - For Technical Excellence

The Border Studio Trophy will be presented on an annual basis to a club that has shown technical excellence in their production. Each regional representative will be able to nominate 1 production from their district. These nominations will then be judged by 2 members of the NODA Scotland committee and the NODA Scotland Councillor with the winner being announced at our annual conference at Peebles Hydro in October. The Glasgow Light Opera Club Courage Award

The youth award is presented annually to the youth group/society which has made a significant impact within their community. All nominations made must be able to demonstrate/evidence the capacity in which the group/society have "made a difference". NODA’s Programme and Poster Competition is without doubt one of the major competitions for amateur theatre in the UK. Its purpose is to encourage the highest standards in programme and poster design. At the NODA National Conference on 30th September 1978 in Cardiff the membership had refused to agree to the dissolution of the Association as proposed by Council. A letter sent out to the members in October 1978 by Andrew Potter, General Administrator, on behalf of Council and signed by all Councillors proposed: the transfer of most of the administration to Areas (now called Regions), retention at National level of administration of summer schools and educational activities, retention at National lever of representation of the national movement to other national organisations, discontinuation from 30th November 1978 of employment of paid staff...
