AIDE MEMOIRE FOR NODA SOCIETIES It is normal for NODA affiliated societies to invite their District Rep to attend their productions. Societies are reminded that visits are normally limited to two per year, for the purpose of writing a show review but it may be that you wish to invite the rep along to other functions such as your AGM, annual celebratory events or workshops.  Please remember when issuing the invitation that two tickets are normally offered and usually on a night which suits the rep.  (they have a number of shows they need to fit in) Please arrange for...

Every year NODA East representatives visit shows in their districts and review them.  At the end of the year, 3 productions are nominated in the categories of: Best Drama Best Musical Best Pantomime Best Youth Production Best Technical Award NODA Reps also award the following to one person in their district Best Youth Performer. Of the winning societies, one from each district is awarded the prestigious Best Production shield. There is also a Programme and Poster competition which runs regionally, and the winners of the regional competition are included in the national competition. Roy Randall Roy was at Dereham in 1960s as FOH manager (wife Avril very active on stage). Job with Pearl moved him to Lowestoft and he was a prime mover and inspiration in formation and expansion and forward thinking of Lowestoft Players and their headquarters: Business Manager, Chairman, Life Member, and a revered member of the company still attending every show including 2019 pantomime.  He was Regional Rep for the then District 6 for 18 years when Districts 6 and 12 were all one, divided to Pam and Terry when he gave up.
