Worcester Park Dramatic Society

We are a friendly and established amateur drama group that has been performing in the Cheam area for almost 100 years now. WPDS stages a two main productions each year ranging from historical, whodunnits, comedy/farce, pantomime etc. These are usually held in April and November with our less formal summer 1-act show during June/July.

Our base and scenery store is at the Elmcroft Community Centre in North Cheam and we meet here for rehearsals every Tuesday and Friday from 8pm – 10.30pm. After this a group usually go to the pub next door for a social evening!

New members are always welcome whether onstage or behind the scenes. As you can imagine, there are many ways to be involved i(other than acting) including set design, construction, scenery, lighting, sound, costumes, props and stage management. It takes a lot of hands and effort to stage a production but it's always fun...

Members enjoy regular play readings, quizzes and social events throughout the year. We also have a very active social scene, which includes meals out, trips to the pub, karaoke nights and theatre trips.
