As I entered the venue I was immediately enveloped by the excited noise of children of all sizes and ages mingling about, happy and excited. Many of them dressed for the occasion with masks, fancy dresses and lots of glitter. It was heart-warming and by the time I sat I was excited too. But by the end I joined the rest of the audience in booing and clapping.

The sets were minimal which worked really well throughout the different scenes. The props, which were also minimal, helped create a very convincing space.

The lighting was designed and managed by Luke Buckingham who did a splendid job. It was never too bright or too dark – each scene worked really well.

The Costumes were delightful and really made an impact. The Ugly Sisters were a force on their own with eye-catching clashes of patterns, colours, etc.

It was a very impressive ensemble of actors, from the lead to the minor roles. The whole cast worked really well together.. Thy inspired a very receptive audience, really enjoying the performances and the songs. Their laughter was contagious and they showed their support enthusiastically.
