Yous Two

Thank you for inviting me to your production of Yous Two, I am glad that you have finally been able to bring it to the stage after an 18-month delay. The play is a character-led play with four actors set entirely in a bathroom belonging to Jonny and his daughter Billie who he has brought up alone. The four actors worked well together, and it was clear that they understood their characters and were committed to the story teasing out the social issues within the plot with appropriate moments of humour. This was the director’s first time directing a full-length play and together with the Producer transported us into this moving story of friendships, family ties and teenage angst. They had obviously worked hard with the cast to develop their characters.

The bathroom set was very impressive with amazing attention to detail with a manky carpet, in need of a fresh coat of paint but complete with working bath, toilet and basin. I had the pleasure of a guided tour from the director after the show and was impressed to see all the intricate plumbing behind the scenes. 

The actors were well supported by the stage manager and tech team who ensured a smooth running performance.
