Time after Time - Senior Youth group Review

It was a pleasure to attend the annual Senior Youth Group review at Shinfield Players Theatre and to see a diverse mix of scripted and improvised sketches, songs, and dance routines from this group. 

The stage was simply set with just blacks as a backdrop and the performance started with the whole group on stage delivering a line each about time before joining together in a large song and dance routine. This theme of time passing continued throughout the performance with short sentence monologues to introduce sketches, songs and dances around the seven stages of life.

The group leaders had worked with the group to develop their confidence in acting singing and dance. The director had worked with the group on their acting and performance skills giving them confidence to develop their characters when on stage. I was also pleased to see so many of the young people now stepping forward to sing and joining together for a number of different choreographed styles. They danced with enthusiasm and enjoyment.

Congratulations to all of the group on their performances at the review, I hope you enjoyed it as much as the audience obviously did.
