This was a very happy show, adapted from the original TV series by Richard Curtis and Paul Mayhew-Archer. The residents of Dibley were beautifully created and totally true to the characters one expected to see without lapsing into caricature. Together with their vicar they drew the audience into their (rather eccentric) world playing to a really receptive full house audience.
