This monumentally silly musical was huge fun from start to finish. Audience participation was the order of the day, from the naming of characters to choosing who would die before the end of the performance. Atmosphere was established by background Country & Western music on entry to the auditorium, which was maintained during the interval. Apart from completely appropriate over the top acting (sadly there is no category for “best ox in show”) there were some cracking vocals and slick dance moves set on a cartoon quality Oregon Trail.
