It is difficult to imagine any other company putting on this show and selling out. Twenty-five people of all ages on stage having a good time in a production of their own making. Set in the long hot summer of 1976, Derek and Ellen decide to have a party in their garden to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. They invite friends and family and what follows is a loose story wrapped around familiar songs from the 1970’s.

From ‘Stuck in the Middle with You’ to ‘Make me smile’, from ‘Lets stick Together’ to ‘I love to Boogie’ this juke box musical has elements of being a review, a karaoke party or even a pantomime. It provides an opportunity for everyone to take lead in a song and for a few fun dances.

This may not have been CADOS’s most disciplined or structured production but that wasn’t the point. It was something different where everyone could have a good sing to some good songs. Great fun.
