The Darling Buds of May

Although more recently famous from television with David Jason, this was apparently the author's own stage version from the 1950s as adapted for a 1990s tour, proving to be oddly constructed and remarkably short but giving opportunities (well taken) for Argosy's junior section with the large family mostly double cast, assorted adults scoring in brief episodes, and mainly Ma, Pop and Mariette Larkin showing their huge eccentricity and generosity and tempting the lovely young tax official to join in their lifestyle.
