Sweeney Todd

I do so like a bit of Sondheim! Sweeney is probably his best known work and the most often performed.

This group took the original concept and set it during the blitz of WWll. I always admire a society who think outside the box and puts a new spin on the work. However for me I didn’t feel there was any added benefit and found there were too many inconsistencies between text and period.

That said you could take nothing away from the actual performance and the actors were superb with some outstanding characters, acting and singing.
