Working through the restrictions of Covid, CADOS managed to put on a fantastic production of Made in Dagenham. Chingford is just 15 miles from Dagenham which gave this production a very authentic feel. Accents and characterisations were excellent and local jokes about local places went down well with the local audiences.
The stage show has a genuinely funny script with laugh out loud jokes and thoughtful one-liners. It is great company show with lots of parts for men and women and a couple of terrific leads. CADOS had 26 people on stage.
This production used a traverse stage which gave an excellence space to move the cast and distance the factions that appear. (Men v women, management v workers). The audience got a fantastic ring side seat and were propelled into the action.
We saw a fun, meaningful musical with a great story performed with warmth, camaraderie and passion.
