The Penelopiad
Sinodun Players, The Corn Exchange, Wallingford
This popular play was very effectively set ‘in the round’ with some excellent props, the changing of which was well and efficiently managed. The cast were all totally believable as they progressed from bored fish packers to smartly dressed race goers. The costume change, in front of the audience, from overalls and white ‘crocs’ to smart dresses, hats and shoes was especially well managed. Accents were universally good and the moments of comedy and pathos were well expressed.
