This iconic Lloyd Webber rock musical is one of the most controversial of its time; yet loved for its story, complex characters and most of all the music!
The story of Jesus’ last week on earth happened somewhere around 29AD so I was rather surprised that the performance had been costumed in the style of ‘Steampunk’. Whilst it looked great I would have preferred a more authentic look.
This was a powerfully passionate performance in which all the cast excelled and had been expertly staged by an imaginative director.
