The Penelopiad
Sinodun Players, The Corn Exchange, Wallingford
Back, after missing the two Covid years, to continue their Pantomime series otherwise unbroken since 1965, Arrow's experienced cast showed they had lost none of their expertise with comedy visual and aural, matched by some very talented new recruits, with everyone dancing their hearts out and singing effectively and a small children's chorus scoring with a nursery-rhyme finale and a real Teddy Bears' Picnic. A really family orientated tradition with perhaps the best costumes ever seen in District 8. Among the sensitive script updating, the Prince had become "George" to avoid controversy and unwanted publicity.
