Hangmen

This much acclaimed playwright does not shy away from sensitive and controversial subjects giving them his unique brand of wit, comedy and pathos. Hangmen certainly had all these qualities. However I am at a loss as to why modern dramas cannot be written without the use of the “F” word! Whilst the cast used it with ease and were not at all embarrassed I; being rather old fashioned, found it grating.

That said the cast were outstanding with every member putting in a powerfully compelling performance. Accents were natural and well maintained enhancing the clever pacey dialogue.
