Copacabana

Once again it was a pleasure to have visited TOPS Musical Theatre Company and on this occasion to enjoy one of my favourite shows - ‘Copacabana’. With a cast in excess of forty, and so many full scale production numbers, this was an ambitious show to undertake and one I greatly looked forward to attending. 

Attention to detail was meticulous and the entire show ran smoothly with this 'full house’ being treated to a superb show. With huge amounts of feathers, outrageous dance costumes and copious amounts of glitz this show demanded that the choreography be exemplary.  Simply put it was nothing short of stunning.  The pace was fast, the dance routines precise and complex - fabulous! 

The principals were exceptionally strong and were supported by a superb cast. The final scene was definitely worth waiting for as the entire cast sang and danced their way through the Copacabana song itself. The costumes, lighting, music and singing provided a fitting end to the evening and ensured the audience was left feeling very satisfied with an excellent evening’s entertainment. 

Congratulations to everyone involved in the production of ‘Copacabana’ and everyone at TOPS - this was a flawless production.
