Blackadder

The HAODS studio is such a lovely intimate venue ideal for a performance such as Blackadder.

The evening consisted of four episodes taken from the second series Blackadder II all of which were well portrayed and extremely funny; with the Shakespearean references coming over brilliantly. It had been well cast with several standout performances and good characterisations and performances from all other members.

The directors staging was excellent (how she managed this in such a limited space I don’t know) there was no crowding or upstaging and her groupings and intimate scenes were superb. The piece had great pace fluidity and presence which culminated in a first rate performance.
