With a new M.D. and Director, the Company once again produced an excellent evening of well-known musical numbers, with some excellent arrangements by Alan Owens and David Curtis, beautifully choreographed in many of the numbers. There were some very lively numbers such as ,Brand New Combine Harvester’, and Chattanooga Choo-Choo’, and the first half finished with ‘The Trolley Song’ with supermarket trolleys dashing about with their frightened occupants on board.

The second half began with several ‘flying’ numbers, though with ‘flying’ in their titles only! There was also a Geordie section, included in which were ‘The Waters of Tyne’, and ‘Dance Ti The Daddy’. The show ended with a great version of ‘Is This The Way To Amarillo?’ The many soloists included Emma Greenhaugh, Martin Holdsworth, Janet Miles, Andrea Rhodes, Joan Wilkinson, Howard Wilkinson, Adam Riley, James Cornick, Julie Jones, David Allan, Roger Kiddle, Andrew Donnelly, Amy Tinsley, David Ferry, and Emma Browne. With an excellent small orchestra, and the usual excellent lighting, this musical journey was enjoyed by all.
