Wimbledon Light Opera Society is a thriving group that's been delivering high-quality productions since 1929. As such, it was pleasing to see their 90th Anniversary Cabaret production so well-supported by friends, family and society members. This celebratory event included a fabulous programme of musical numbers from previous shows performed throughout their history. From Rodgers and Hammerstein to Gilbert & Sullivan, and then moving into a more modern selection of songs, this was a fabulous musical programme that highlighted a very talented society.
The 'finale' provided an upcoming glimpse at future productions with numbers from Sister Act and Bad Girls (both in 2020) before the entire company brought the evening to a conclusion with the iconic ‘Somewhere over the Rainbow’ from The Wizard of Oz - WLOS’ next show in October 2019. Overall, a fabulous celebratory evening of quality entertainment and one richly deserving of the applause received from this appreciative audience. Until then, congratulations again on WLOS’s
