HAREFIELD AMATEUR DRAMATIC SOCIETY  is delighted to announce auditions for the part of Florence Foster Jenkins and are seeking an experienced, amateur actress to fill this role.   This is a major part and requires a soprano with the musical ability to sing off key.   The character age is 70 years.
Set in 1940’s New York, this is a heartwarming, true story of Florence Foster Jenkins, the wealthy New York socialite who became famous as “the worst singer in the world!”   The play follows Florence’s unwavering passion for music, despite her spectacular lack of vocal talent.   Filled with comedy, warmth and larger than life characters, GLORIOUS! celebrates determination, friendship and the joy of performing.

Auditions will be held on Tuesday, 23rd June 2026 at 8pm at St Mary’s Church Hall, High Street, Harefield, UB9 6BX

The play will be performed on the 1st,2nd and 3rd October 2026 at the audition venue.
