'COMMUNICATING DOORS'
by Alan Ayckbourn
Directed by Paul Whur
This intricate comedy thriller, by the British master of farcical comedy, has delighted audiences in London and New York.
A frantic race begins when a lady of 'ill repute' is hired for an evening at the Regal Hotel by an old man who dismisses her 'normal' services in favour of confessing his role in certain highly dubious business practices along with his part in the demise of his previous wives. Now a target, the 'lady' flees into a vestibule through a communicating door and starts a race to right the wrongs of the past but still live to tell the tale.
"A real knockout... A vastly entertaining blend of the West End drawing room thriller with one of Priestley's old time plays." This play received the '1997 Moliere award for Best Comedy' and a '1994 Olivier Award' nomination for Best Comedy.
After watching nearly 200 productions on the TLT stage Paul Whur takes his life in his hands as he moves from the relative safety of the production team to the Director's chair with this comedy/farce/thriller (plus a little something else) from the pen of prolific playwright and director Alan Ayckbourn
Tickets for 'Communcating Doors' will go on sale on-line in April 2026 and will be £8.00 each plus booking fees. All performances are 7:30pm.
