AOC have been performing and entertaining audiences in Aberdeen and the surrounding area since 1940 with a range of Operettas, Concerts and Musicals. Their 75th birthday was celebrated in 2015 with the UK Amatuer Premiere of “9 to 5” which was brilliant fun for all involved.
The society has been on an incredible journey over the past 77 years. From the first production of “The Mikado” in 1940 as Aberdeen Opera Company, to the first non Gilbert and Sullivan show in 1966, then to the name change to AOC Productions in 2015 and the sell out success of “Sunshine on Leith” in 2016. AOC is always evolving and that journey is far from over - they are already planning for their 80th birthday celebrations in 2020!
