Once again we were treated to a group of talented youngsters enjoying themselves while performing on stage and entertaining us and other members of the audience.

Wizard of Oz is not an easy show to do for anyone let alone a group of youngsters, there are some very long passages of dialogue but none of these youngsters were fazed by this and this together with some excellent accents put together for a great show.

Of course we all know the story of Dorothy Gale and her adventures in Oz searching for the Wizard; Poppy Croydon-Smith did a great job of performing Dorothy as did her fellow travellers through Oz. Hollie Smith as Hunk/ The Scarecrow, Eve Gregory as Hickory/The Tin Man and Alistair Learmonth-Bray as Zeke/The Lion all pulled out all the stops to give some exceptional performances. I also liked Ava Richards as Toto, the dog; she had some really good expressions both when she had a hand puppet as Toto and later in Oz when she was dressed as the character.

Charlotte King and Daniel Jackson as Aunt Em and Uncle Henry respectively also gave outstanding performances as did Preston Croydon-Smith and Amy Abdy as Professor Marvel/Wizard of Oz and Glinda to ensure we all enjoyed the show.

One of the other big parts in this piece is Miss Gulch who later becomes The Wicked Witch and this was in the more than capable hands of Alicia Marshall who made sure everyone felt her presence even when she appeared on the balcony, her projection and accent were incredible from such a young member.

All the principal characters were joined by the full company of Munchkins, Ozians and smaller parts to produce and excellent show and I am sure one which Julie Palmer, Claire and David Clayton will have been very proud.

Many congratulations to all involved in this great show.
