Who would have thought that a courtroom drama would hold the audience’s attention throughout. But this is no ordinary drama, this is Agatha Christie, so there must be a mystery, with different twists and turns which leaves you changing your mind several times as to ‘whodunnit’.

Dai Williams – Carter. Was very methodical in his approach. Bold performance throughout the play creating some lovely pieces of theatre.

Martyn Lewis – Mr Mayhew. Diction and projection were great, and he had a good command of the text too.

Rob Jenkins – Leonard Vole. Gave a good interpretation of the confused accused; his hesitation and disbelief were strongly acted out.

Tim Tyson – Sir Wilfred Robarts. Was spot on, with just the right amount of cynicism, and is an excellent storyteller. Strong performance.

Delyth Lewis – Romaine. Was a ‘perfect fit’ for this role; ‘stage presence aplenty’; an accent that never faltered, an ability to show us the different sides of this character, adding just enough mystery and suspense to the part.

Good supporting performances and characterisations by Emily Porter [Greta], Sian Williams [Janet Mackenzie], Sue O’Halloran [Court usher], Jane Sinclair [Mrs Justice Wainwright], Fiona Bishop [Dr Wyatt] and Emma Palfreman [Victoria Clegg],

The set design was well thought out and worked extremely well. Lighting by Lightsource Production Services added to the overall feel of the play.

Another strong production performed by Hilltop Theatre Company. Congratulations.
