Based on the 1957 American film depicting an English courtroom drama, written by Agatha Christie and deals with the trial of a man accused of murder.

Leonard Vole played by Tom Dyer was perfect as the bewildered suspect, his hesitation and disbelief were very well displayed. Strong performance.

Sir Wilfred Roberts played by Bob Tucker was spot on, with just the right amount of sternness, challenging and quick on his feet, exemplifying the token characteristics of a good lawyer. Very good performance.

Mr Myers QC played by Iain Scott speaks and acts with an air of pomposity. Good diction and a strong performance. Good timing and delivery.

Mr Mayhew played by Paul Mellin was well cast as the solicitor of the accused. Clear diction and a strong stage presence.

Romaine Vole played by Amanda Matthews gave the performance of the night,                her accent and demeanour did not falter once and maintained a seeming cold-bloodedness throughout.

Good supporting performances and characterisations by Mike Curry [Carter], Helen Taylor [Greta], Mary Gardner [Janet Mackenzie], Victoria Lowry [Clark of the Court], Tim Tyson [Mr Justice Wainwright], Andy Bradshaw [Dr Wyatt], Peter Knowles [Mr Clegg], Adam Hughes [Warder], Harriet Taylor [Girl], Simon Webb [Detective], Doirecann Gilmore [Solicitor], Lauren Jenkins [Stenographer], Luke Whitlock [Foreman of the Jury], Caitlin Mcdonald-Curry [Court Usher]  and Wendy Huxstable-Mcturk [Jury Woman].

The entire cast worked very hard, producing some very good performances creating some very nice pieces of theatre.

The set design was well thought out and worked extremely well. Lighting by Lightsource Production Services added to the overall feel of the play.

This was quite a brave choice of play in the current climate and I would urge you to continue to be bold in your choices and help to push boundaries in non professional theatre.

Well done to everyone involved.
