Whodunnit

Anthony Schaffer's comedy thriller take on the Murder Mystery genre assembled suspiciously unsatisfactory eccentric characters at a Country House Party, before revealing them in Act 2 to be jobbing actors hired to perform those roles to the best of their varying abilities. Fine performances from the blackmailer among them whose murder brought Act 1 to a close and later from the two policemen trying to find who dunnit, and great scenery and technical support. Convincing wigs for the men in disguise would probably have broken the bank.
