Everytime I come along to a BrassNeck Theatre production I think, surely they can't get any better, and each time I am proved to be wrong. The well designed set moved effortlessly and simple additions were flown in to depict the different scenes. People who know the limitations of Yeadon Town Hall wings will fully appreciate how smoothly everything changed. Lighting was, as ever, fantastic and the burning of the barn was spectacular. This, along with some almost scary sound effects added greatly to the atmosphere. A very strong cast had been selected and the children involved showed how much talent is up and coming. The whole ensemble moved with great precision and entrances and exits were well choreographed. Congratulations must go to MD Tom Kyle for tackling what seemed to be quite a complex score. The singing both solo and chorus was strong and there were some moving numbers. The high standard of this production could not have been bettered by a professional company
