EROS delivered an energetic and highly entertaining production of We Will Rock You, bringing together strong principal performances, a committed ensemble and a production team that clearly understood the spirit and humour of the show. From the opening moments it was clear that everyone involved had embraced the material, creating a lively and engaging show. At the heart of the show was a talented principal cast. Stewart Sinnamon as Galileo delivered a confident and charismatic performance, capturing both the humour and heart of the character. Amy Campbell brought great energy and individuality to Scaramouche, balancing attitude with strong comic timing. Tracy Fraser’s Killer Queen was commanding and stylish, while Andrew Tasker gave a memorable performance as Khashoggi, creating a strong stage presence that worked perfectly within the world of the show. Among the Bohemians, Kai Bruce as Brit and Sophie Anderson as Oz brought excellent characterisation and enthusiasm, helping to build the spirit of rebellion that runs through the story. Stephanie Elliot’s Teacher provided a clear and effective contribution to the narrative, while Jean Hutchison as Buddy offered warmth and personality, drawing the audience into the mythology and history behind the music. Vocally, the principal cast rose impressively to the challenge of performing the iconic music of Queen. The songs were delivered with confidence and power, and the demanding score was handled extremely well throughout the show. The ensemble supported this strongly, creating full and exciting musical moments that captured the scale and energy expected from a show built around such legendary music. The choreography throughout the production was vibrant and engaging, with the entire company clearly committed to every moment. Everyone on stage was fully involved, bringing energy and precision to the movement while maintaining strong characterisation. It was evident that the cast had developed their individual roles well, giving each performer a clear identity within the larger ensemble. The ensemble performed with enthusiasm and commitment, and it was clear that they loved both the show and their characters. This connection translated directly to the audience, particularly in the many humorous moments which were delivered with excellent timing and confidence. The production was supported by a simple yet very effectively used set which allowed the action to move quickly and smoothly between scenes. Combined with creative and well-integrated video content, the staging helped build the futuristic world of the show without ever slowing the pace. Scene changes were slick, ensuring that the story flowed seamlessly and kept the audience fully engaged throughout. Overall, this was a lively and well-executed production of We Will Rock You. With strong vocals, confident character work, imaginative staging and an enthusiastic company, EROS created a show that celebrated the music and humour of the piece while keeping the audience thoroughly entertained from beginning to end.
