The Chameleons ADS performed Agatha Christie's late 1950s melodrama Verdict in a semi-thrust style staging instead of their usual arena format - with the audience across the front and stage right side. This worked well for this production - affording the cast two main entrances/exits. With the themes of love, duty, loyalty and retribution being central to the action the actual murder and perpetrator were of secondary importance. This allowed Chameleon members playing the leads a great opportunity to display their first class acting ability - with all the soul-searching, misplaced loyalties and forbidden desires to be expressed.  There is some light relief supplied by the gossip-mongering cleaner who almost caused a miscarriage of justice through her interference giving the audience serious cause for concern until the final moments.
