VARIETY SHOW 2015

The youth group served up a varied programme which gave everyone a chance to display their talents. The first half brought us a potted version of their ‘Little House of Terrors’, which featured some difficult

stageing, but the Directors (Tutors) managed to overcome any problem that arose. The 67 children on stage included 15 Academy Members aged 8 -11 years, 31 Junior Members and 21 Senior Members, each child was disciplined and knew their tasks which they carried out with aplomb.

The second half gave us more of a variety feel with individual items including excellent solos, innovative

choreography, and a comedy sketch, which gave the lads a chance to shine and was very well received by the audience. Academy Members charmed the audience with their contribution and the large chorus numbers were brilliantly performed. This production was well rehearsed and flowed without a pause between items. There is a great sense of Team work throughout this Company with all areas of the Team working together, backstage crew, sound, and lighting together with music, costumiers and the group of people who don’t often get a mention, the most important chaperones, supporting the Directors. A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon being entertained by the Group who were full of enthusiasm, proud of what they are doing and eager to further develop their own talents in the field of Musical Theatre.
