Two’s Company comprised five two- handers, each of around 15-20 minutes in duration.

Front of house was welcoming and efficiently managed. Seating is for between forty and fifty and was almost at capacity.

The programme was minimalistic but informative and contained all the relevant information, including individual pictures of the cast. It was pleasing to see the NODA logo on the cover, although it could have been bigger.

Obviously with five plays on a very small stage, in a village hall, the set had to be instantly adaptable and utilitarian. Good use was made of different notices on the back drop which helped set the various scenes, some being taking place at the seaside and others inside a pub and an office. The props provided just the right amount of ambience without being overpowering. The costumes and makeup were all totally in keeping with each production and each pair came across as being extremely plausible.

Each play was entertaining as a stand-alone and told a much bigger story than was to be expected in such short performances. It would be impossible to single out any of the actors for a special mention as everyone brought a great deal to their performance and managed to produce a range of emotions from the audience. The plays handled a range of subjects including, Internet dating, the world of afternoon tea dances, working and family relationships and the kindness of strangers.

Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience.
