Trestle is a short one act play, which was written by Stewart Pringle and tells this bittersweet sensitive tale of two contrasting characters that pass each other in the church hall as one weekly parish council meeting finishes and a Zumba Class begins, and explores the emerging relationship, over a trestle table between Harry, played by Geoff Dodsworth and Denise, Lorraine Hedworth. The set was based inside the church hall and all/any set changes were the movement of tables and chairs. Great diction from Geoff (a broad Yorkshireman) and Lorraine as his Zumba loving protagonist. Every word was delivered with good clarity and with real confidence so nothing was missed. Basic simple lighting lit the set well and all in all this was a thorroughly enjoyable short play. Well done Chesil, Director Martin Humphrey,Geoff and Lorraine, Bravo.
