Thoroughly Modern Mille Jr

Two years in the waiting, has clearly shown the dedication and
determination of this young society, in the production and
performance of this classic show.

A lovely, spirited performance from Isla Richards as a “very” modern
Millie, well supported by Hazel Guppy playing Jimmy; never an easy
task to switch gender roles but very well performed, with good
humour.

Jake Brice as Mr Graydon, totally outnumbered by the female
ensemble but looking very confident in his role, “well done”.

Thoroughly Modern Millie certainly has both a dark and light side to
the story, well portrayed by the evil Mrs Meers played by Louise
Szmaglik and the vulnerable characters of Dorothy [Carla Bryce]and
Miss Flanner y[Phoebe Brown].

It was a tribute to the whole society that so many of the cast and
stage crew, not only performed but also took on the tasks of
production, through wardrobe, hair and make-up, wardrobe, and
choreography, along with stage direction. Congratulations and well
done to you all.
