The annual West Moors Singers Christmas concert is always something that I look forward on the run up towards Christmas day.  A chance to join in with carol singing and enjoy listening to a variety of Christmas choral music.

The Singers have undergone a few changes in recent years and I was very surprised to see how low the numbers had drop to due to members retiring, illness and a variety of other reasons.

Unfortunately the drop in numbers meant that the sound balance was a little a wry at times. I felt sorry for the three altos, who were working hard singing their hearts out, but they were often drowned out when the men got carried away.

I particularly enjoyed, Have you ever felt lonely, A Christmas Carol, He Shall Feed His Flock and also, Child and A Starlit Night, both written by Paul Barber the MD of the choir.

It was a most enjoyable concert which the audience greatly appreciated.
