Turning The Wizard of Oz into a full blooded stage show is no easy task as it is quite short without extra work and flair by the producer to build the show up but this as usual proved no problem to Dee Bennie-Marshall. The exceptional casting in every role ensured a very fine production. Aimee Good (Dorothy) is one of those very fortunate talented young ladies who has everything, she moves very well and sings brilliantly and acts with a super natural confidence - surely a star of the future and already a very mature performer. Ashley Booker (Hunk/Scarecrow) Chris Moss (Hickory/Tin Man) and Jonathan Cannon (Zeke/Cowardly Lion) All three were outstanding bringing their own individual characters as they asked for a brain, a heart and courage as they travelled the yellow brick road with Dorothy. Sarah Tattersall (The Wicked Witch of the West/Miss Gulch) gave two most convincing performances in this dual role. Haley Harris (Glinda/Auntie Em) delivered her magic with great charm and was a most lovable Auntie Em. Michael Tattersall (The Wizard/Professor) was a most suitable fearsome wizard to start with but contrasted his other side by helping them sort all their problems out, very well played Michael. Andy Green (Uncle Henry/Guard) a very good little character that Andy made the very most of. The children (Emerald Team on Friday) were excellent, superbly trained their singing and dancing was a delight. The lighting and sound was very good with a fine orchestra and excellent costumes giving us all another super show if perhaps just a little too long.
