THE WIZARD OF OZ

The Wizard of Oz is an excellent show for junior sections to perform as it affords so many characters for the children to perform. The company worked with much enthusiasm and sung the chorus numbers in fine style. There were a number of very encouraging performances by the principals, Abigail Welburn was a most accomplished Dorothy Gale she performed with great confidence singing and acting with great style she was well supported by her three accomplices The Scarecrow (Madi Bedford) The Lion (Alex Saine-Cawthra) and The Tinman (Isobel Gray) they did very well with these three very difficult roles. Evie Mansfield-Smith (The Wicked Witch of the West) gave a most eye catching performance with a most aggressive portrayal. Kate Leonard (Glinda the Good Witch of the North) gave a very sympathetic performance. The set was well organised and the costumes were most suitable for the characters they were made for.
