This was an excellent choice of show in the society’s 65th anniversary year although I did have some slight trepidation about how it was going to work in Putney Arts Theatre. My initial impressive was that this was a production which was going to test the boundaries and for that vision the creative team and the wider society should be congratulated. The aspects I enjoyed the most included the production numbers, especially the simple but effective ensemble movement in ‘Eastwick Knows’ and the camp vaudeville routines of ‘Dirty Laundry’. I also liked the magic, in particular the cello illusion and the indignities forced upon Felicia, all looked fantastic from the front. The interplay between Van Horne and his ladies was fantastic.
