On the back of ‘Pirates’ just some seven weeks earlier and with the society in transition this was a difficult undertaking for a new production team in a new venue to the society. However in true Twickenham spirit they just got on with it and produced a fantastic musical evening. The stage version doesn’t have all the great 1980’s ballads of the film but still has some crackers and these were all very well performed by a talented and dedicated cast. Whilst a huge hole has been left by Gill Wade who has moved away from the area, the ‘new’ society looks in very safe hands.
