The Twelve Days of Christmas

THE TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS

For well over twenty years I have always enjoyed attending The West Moors  Singers, Christmas concert. But I don’t remember ever turning out on such a cold night, it was minus 6 C, outside the venue . Sadly for the Singers, their audience was somewhat depleted in numbers , as understandingly many chose not venture out in the cold weather.

The few that were present certainly received a warm welcome and we were treated to a very enjoyable evening of seasonal music with some lovely singing throughout. and as usual the audience were able to join in with several Christmas Carols.

The guest performer for the concert, was 11year old Logan , who is a chorister at Salisbury Cathedral, his rendition of ” Walking on the Air” in the first half and “Where’er You Walk” after the interval were beautifully sang. An excellent young performer.  His grandmother also joined in the action by performing Two very amusing versions of The Twelve Days Of Christmas.

It was all linked together by the excellent compare David Broom and the accompanist was John Porter
