The Sound of Musicals

The Sound of Musicals was a joyous celebration of musical theatre, carefully curated to showcase every member of the CMP family. The Director & Creative Team Milburn deserve credit for shaping a concert that gave each performer a moment in the spotlight — from seasoned vocalists to junior cast members finding their stage feet. The evening felt like a true community affair: glitz, glamour, heartfelt storytelling, and, most importantly, fun.

The variety of repertoire — spanning classics, revivals, mega-musicals, 21st century hits and screen-inspired favourites — meant there was something for everyone. While there were a few moments where nerves, mic issues, or vocal range choices held songs back, the overriding impression was one of energy, commitment, and love for musical theatre. It was a night where the audience were reminded why groups like CMP matter so much to their communities.
