THE SORCERER

This production of The Sorcerer by Batley G. & S. will be about the 30th year I have visited their productions all of which have been of a very high standard.  This is a most outstanding record by them to achieve. This production maintained this wonderful tradition with a set of very fine principals they were all brilliant. Anna Trent (Aline) and Leon Waksberg (Alexis) both displayed their wonderful very powerful voices. Malcolm Parkinson (John Wellington Wells) made the most of this very demanding role creating much amusement with his portrayal of the part. Robert Thurman (Dr.Daly) I think was most eyecatching in this role I just love his wonderful facial expressions and his deep voice deliver great bass vocal contributions. The other cast members were all up to the same superb standard. The new Musical Director (Sean Gleeson) and Helen Fox (Director) can be very proud of this production.
