The Producers

This was a first-class production. The performers used the whole stage to advantage, with carefully planned entrances and exits by principals and chorus (who were always in character) to ensure there was never any embarrassing queuing for the wings. The choreographers had planned the dances carefully to stretch but not overwhelm different abilities; the musical team had worked hard on the harmonies and the balance to get an attractive rich chorus sound, and the entire cast had very clearly put in a great deal of work. The society had created fabulous costumes and set, and the excellent evening's entertainment was much enjoyed by an appreciative audience
