Agatha Twisty and the Murder in Pantoland
Shinfield Players Theatre, SPT
An inclusive production with the Major-General's daughters accompanied by aunts and chaperones and a pirate band of seventeen members ensured a properly sung score delighting the ear. Add high quality dialogue and recit and it sounds like a traditional show, yet with innovative scenery which had the girls really entering "climbing over rocky mountains" and novel (to your critic) directorial ideas it came over as fresh and new. Principals were all well cast and chorus members created fine individual characterisations.
