The Philadelphia Story

Always a pleasure to visit this multi-talented company who continue to impress with their set building prowess and talented players.

Tonight it was a visit to the suburbs of Philadelphia for the high society wedding of Tracey Lord (Alison Hawkesworth) and the complexities of family life, divorce, ex-husbands and a harmless midnight swim! I felt a little confused on times by the sets authenticity, however must stress the set was well constructed and worked well. The talented cast featuring Mimi Ferrier, Dan Collier Roberts and Chris Powell, to name but a few gave a sterling performance of this classic piece, although on times I felt the accents wandered. Jessica Bright as Dinah was simply delightful and gave a fine performance as the wickedly calculating younger sister with a soft spot for Dexter, Traceys’ true love.

A great nights’ entertainment was well received on the evening I attended so well done RATS another great show.
