Poisoning. Strangulation. Shooting. Being pushed off a cliff.

Several ways of murder, but all used to good effect in this macabre yet at times farcical “whodunit” and the twist in the plot towards the end of Act 2 had most of the audience fooled when the murderer was revealed.

The cast worked hard to portray their characters and for a mainly young and inexperienced group succeeded very well.

Judge Delaware Coots (George Woodfine) held the play together with an accomplished performance prior to his untimely demise by being pushed off a cliff to his death accompanied by the snooty high class model Eloise Dechamps (Sue Jackson). Their exit was well executed, being pushed off the stage towards the audience and landing in a well screened gully --- this was a good piece of theatre.

Other members of the cast gave creditable performances with special mention going to Jeremy Spriggly (Jane Worthington), Lester Fillet (Esther Taylor) and Hawkins (Angie Mckenna) as these young ladies played male parts with great aplomb.

Ceremonious Dipple, (Kath Hill) narrated the action with great expertise.

A simple, yet workable set coupled with good lighting and sound added to the atmosphere.

Gwynedd Price, in her first production has every reason to be pleased with her efforts and those of the cast.
