A play by John  Godber showing us the happenings of an office under threat from redundacies and the effects on the Staff both in their professional and their home life.  Working extra hours made for problems at home and created difficulties with relationships in the Office.  The Office Party seemed to bring out the worst in everyone resulting in drunkenness, bad language and sexual behaviour.  The set was excellent with exceptional detail, the acting was of a very high standard particularly in the drunken scenes and the direction was tight and well controlled.  The whole play set out to show us how standards of behaviour deteriorate rapidly with the use of alcohol to, hopefully,  provide comfort and  solution to problems.  Which, of course it didn`t.
