This was a very good show. The concept of the modern setting was a super idea and LOS pulled it off brilliantly. The set with lifelike shop fronts of Loughton High Street was terrific as were the updated lyrics; the topical Little List was very funny. Modern costumes and props added to the feel. Movement around the stage was good and the excellent chorus, all in character and all different, was well positioned to support the principals with simple choreography, well executed.
The singing of the principals was good, Ko-Ko, Yum-Yum and Katisha all standing out, the acting was excellent and there were plenty of laughs. The principals should be congratulated on their very clear enunciation and nimbleness of delivery.
The music was crisp and strong, and the band were excellent. There was great energy and involvement from all. Well done.
